Welcome

Black and white studio photograph shows a woman in a dark dress leaning toward a vintage camera mounted on a tripod, with a visible photographer's watermark.

Welcome to my web site and, specifically, to my blog.

I am a photographer in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada who specializes in Fine-art Nude, Glamour (note the Canadian spelling), and Nature photography.

A sequence of four images. From left to right: a black-and-white image of a woman in the corner of a room, upside down and taking a photo of the viewer; a black-and-white image of a nude woman aiming a polaroid camera at themself; a colour image of a long-haired woman on a bed covered in a towel and revealing one great to a computer; and a colour image of a long-haired woman on a bed in a brown two-piece aiming a camera at themself.

I do body art, at the moment specializing in tape body as it is relatively quick to do and has little cleanup. I have also done liquid latex and some paint-based body art but those are time-consuming, and my studio doesn’t yet have a shower for cleanup.

I also do costuming, specializing in chainmaille outfits, but I also work in leather and fabric. I have recently begun experiments with 3D-printed materials.

At the time of this writing I am work on several projects:

  • “The Camera” is a series in which a camera is in the image as a proxy for the viewer. We use this to explore the complex relationship between model and viewer.
  • “Obscuria” is a series in which I explore shape and form, placing the model behind semi-opaque material. The result is a focus on the shape and form, with the model being able to bring parts more or less into focus through how close they are to the material
  • “Mirror Dress” is a personal challenge to feature one of my most popular creations in a variety of format.
  • “Tape Body-Art” features a range of themed tape body art designs paired with appropriate lighting and location.

My posting schedule will be erratic, so check back often for content.
