This is a unique opportunity to work with 2 or Ottawa’s finest models, and get a peek behind the scenes to how acrylic-tape body art is created. Our models, Diamond Lee (IG: @death_diamond_) and Kimi Bee (IG: @kimi.bee.model)) will each model 2 different acrylic tape body art designs created by David MacKinnon (IG: @d.k.mackinnon).
The photoshoot will be divided into 4 sets of 30 minutes each, one for each design. During each set, one photographer will be allowed behind the scenes to photograph the design-creation process, while 3 photographers will photograph the final design on the studio floor. The behind-the-scenes photographer will be changed for each set. Studio owner/photographer Robert McAlpine (@robert.mcalpine) will manage the studio-floor photoshoot and the transitions.
To make this work, one photographer will start (and end) 30 minutes earlier than the others. Also, the photographer transitioning to behind-the-scenes will be given 5 minutes to photograph the incoming design, providing the artist with time to remove the previous design from the outgoing model. In the end, every photographer will have 1 behind-the-scenes set and images of all 4 designs.
