Photo Series: Symbiosis

The Symbiosis series explores the interrelationship between pollinators and the plants they support.

Pollinators assist in the pollination process by moving pollen from one plant to another. They depend on flowering plants for their survival; but pollinators are now under threat due to loss of habitat, non-native plants, and pesticides. ¹ In fact, “…more than one in five species is at risk of extinction. The major threats are climate change, agriculture, modifications to hydrological and fire regimes, and housing and urban development.”²
